Camstage pulling photos from past

Camstage pulling photos from pastCamstage Ltd, a leading company in the performance industry, is showcasing its past as part of #throwback Thursday.

The company also is celebrating 25 years supplying and installing curtains, acoustic walls and ceilings and other necessities for cinemas, theatres, museums, churches, crematorium, schools, colleges and other places.

"We discovered a lot of photos from past jobs as we looked for ways to tell our stories," said Franco Camastra, co-director of the firm. "We also have enjoyed the #throwback Thursday photos in our news feeds."

The first shared #throwback Thursday photo showed the crew on a job in Sweden on 2001. Today's #throwback Thursday photo is from 2009 when Camstage installed a flying screen and frame at Qatar National Theatre in Doha. Camstage pulling photos from pastTeksignals was the lead contractor, hiring Camstage to install the screen and frame. A flying screen works well in multi-use rooms as the screen is easily hidden when not needed. The projection screen and frame was installed on a fly bar system with pile wind electric motors. This lifts the frame above the proscenium arch.

Qatar was Inaugurated in 1982 and located on the Corniche. The 490-seat theater hosts regularly concerts, plays and films organized by the cultural stakeholders of Qatar.

Camstage was formed in 1989 and is known as a leading UK supplier to the cinema and theatre industries. Products include projection screens, stage curtains and acoustic wall panels needed in cinemas, theatres, places of worship, crematoriums, educational facilities, home cinemas and other venues. Services include design, installation and maintenance.
