Camstage Ltd announces Constructionline accreditation
Constructionline, a partnership between the government and capita, is designed to save money for the public and private sector.
About 8,000 buyers from more than 2,200 organizations use the Constructionline database of 18,000 suppliers.
Acceptance of the Camstage application means the company has been awarded a "fit-to-supply" designation for the government's official pre-qualification standards, said Franco Camastra, director of the UK Company that offers stage hardware and soft goods such as curtains and carpet.
"Constructionline is proven to deliver business and we are pleased to earn a spot," Camastra said.
Its mission is to make the pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) process less painful for contractors, consultants and materials suppliers.
Companies interested in bidding for a public sector or local authority often need to fill out lengthy documents to ensure they are qualified.
The PQQs cover company information, financial details, expertise, experience and policies on matters such as equal opportunities, the environment and health and safety.
The PQQs are just the first step but they determine who will be invited to make a bid.
Camstage was formed in 1989 and is known as a leading UK supplier to the cinema and theatre industries. Products include projection screens, stage curtains and acoustic wall panels needed in cinemas, theatres, churches, crematoriums, educational facilities and other venues. Services include design, installation and maintenance.
